About Us

The Nursing Institute at Ain Wazein Hospital was established pursuant to Agreement No. 67, signed on December 31, 2001, between the Ministry of Education – Directorate General of Vocational and Technical Education and the Board of Trustees of the Health Establishment of the Druze Community.

Our students come from various regions, including Shouf, Ekleem El Kharroub, Aley, Metn, Hasbaya, and Rachaya, reflecting the Institute’s broad community reach and accessibility.

The Institute started its academic activities in the 2001–2002 academic year, offering two nursing programs: The Brevet Technique (BT), a three-year program following the Brevet, and the Brevet Professionnel (BP), a two-year program following the second intermediate level. In 2004, these programs were upgraded to the Technique Supérieur (TS) in Nursing (three years post-secondary), providing students with opportunities to pursue higher levels of professional education.

In 2013, in alignment with the updated national nursing curriculum, a new TS Nursing program was introduced (two years post Bac II or for BT graduates). This program enables students to further advance their education and pursue either the Licence Technique (LT) track (technical level) or the Bachelor of Science (BS) track (academic level).

In 2017, the LT program in Nursing (one year post-TS) was launched, offering additional pathways for academic and professional advancement.

The Institute ensures that students receive both theoretical knowledge and practical training in accordance with official curricula, delivered by a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members. Practical training is conducted within the premises of Ain Wazein Medical Village, under the close supervision and strict follow-up of both the Institute and the hospital.
