The Nursing Institute – Ain WaZein Hospital was established based on the agreement number -67- between Ministry of Education –The Directorate General of Vocational and Technical Education and the Board of Trustees of the “Health Establishment of the Druze Community” on the 31st of December 2001.
Students come from different areas: Shouf, Ekleem el Kharroub , Aley, Matn, Hasbaya, and Rachaya.
The institute has launched its work in 2001-2002 with nursing programs of two different degrees BT program (3 years post Brevet) and the BP program (2 years after 2nd intermediate level). The first class graduated in 2002 with 100% success in the official exams.
In 2004, degrees and specialties were upgraded to TS Program (3 years post-secondary) in Nursing and Radiology. This provided an opportunity to gain higher degrees for those students willing to progress in professional education. 36 students successfully graduated in the first TS graduation and this success has continued to the present date.
A new TS Program in nursing (2 years post bac. 2 or BT graduate) has been started from 2013 according to the new official national nursing program and this will give student opportunity to upgraded his educational level and gain one of two educational degrees, the LT program (Technical level) or BS program (Academic level)
In 2017, the LT program has launched (1 year1post TS degree) in Nursing, this provided an opportunity to gain higher degrees for those students willing to progress in professional education.
The total number of the graduates reached 661 till 2022, among them 101 TS2 greduates, 155 Registered Nurses, 302 Practical Nurses, 72 Nurses assistants, and 31 Radiology technicians.
Theoretical and technical preparations of students are given according to official programs and by highly qualified staff.
The graduates of the nursing institute are of the basic human staff in the medical organizations over the country regions especially Shouf area. And most of them attained Universities in order to gain higher educational degrees thus, being prepared to enroll in various responsibilities and meet requirement of.
Provide basic nursing care to the patient by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Providing also quality and safe nursing care through performance improvement technique and working as a member in the nurse’s team.
NB: Licensed by Lebanese Government as Practical Nurse which is given upon passing official technical national exam.
Certified as a Nurse, is responsible to Provide basic nursing care to the patient by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Providing also quality and safe nursing care through performance improvement technique and working as a member in the nurse’s team
NB: Licensed by Lebanese Government as Nurse which is given upon passing official national exam of (Brevet) before or during studding BT educational degree also after passing official technical national exam.
Certified as Registered Nurse, study the higher educational degrees in LT program, one year after graduating , is responsible to Provide comprehensive nursing care to the patient by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Established standards of nursing practice and performance contributed tom the provision of quality and safe nursing care through performance improvement technique and Demonstrate leadership competency.
(Theoretical hrs. 570, training hrs. 450 for this level)
NB: Licensed by Lebanese Government as Registered Nurse which is given upon passing exams in the LT educational degrees
Certified as Nurse, (Need to study the higher educational degrees in LT program, one year after graduating, or the curriculum of university level (Bridging program) to certified as Registered Nurse)

NB: Student can’t be Licensed by Lebanese Government as Registered Nurse which is given upon passing exams in the LT or Bridging educational degrees
