Our vision is to be one of the leading nursing services in Lebanon and the region. The Nursing Administration at AWMV aims at innovation, efficiency and delivering the highest quality patient-centered care and community services.

Goals

  • Provide and maintain high quality-nursing care to clients through health promotion and prevention.
  • Establish effective communication, cooperation and collaboration with all disciplinary team involved in patient care.
  • Assess and evaluate the quality of nursing care through monitoring quality, patient satisfaction surveys and quality improvement.
  • Participate in teaching-learning experience of students and newly recruited nurses using available recognized educational resources.

A message from the director of Nursing It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to AWMV – Nursing Administration Page and to share with you a brief overview of our mission which aims to provide safe and high quality nursing care by a qualified nursing staff within all clinical specialties, including:
Intensive Care & Cardiology, Emergency, Geriatrics, Pediatric and Neonatal Care, Operating Room, Surgery and Medicine, Obstetrics, Mental Health, Dialysis, Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy and Home Care.
Teamwork governs our day to day professional activity with full support from the top hospital management to implement all standard of nursing practice activities. The Nursing Administration Strategy is part of the hospital’s strategy across the continuum of high quality nursing care.

The nursing care at AWMV is guided by the MOPH Accreditation standards as well as lSO 9001- 2015 certification standards.
The Nursing Administration at AWMV takes pride in investing a plan to develop and update the skills of the nursing staff through continuous internal and external training courses throughout the year in the Capacity Building Training Center.
Finally, Nurses at AWMV are our source of pride, and we are keen to retain them in the service.

Staff

The manpower of the Nursing Administration (Professional Nurses, PNs, NWS, MWs and Administrators within Nursing Departments constitutes around 60 % of AWMV manpower.

Nursing policies and procedures are revised every three years and whenever there is any update in the standard of practice.

  • Lebanese University – School of Nursing- Faculty of Public Heath- Branch 6- AIn Wazein
  • School of Nursing which is a joint project between the Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education and AWMV # 67
  • Balamand University – Nursing Program – Souk Al Gharb
  • American University of Science & Technology AUST – Nursing Program

Transition programs for nurses from all levels and settings:
  • The Capacity Building Training Center (AWMV-CBTC), inaugurated in April 2022 and located in Ain Wazein Medical Village (AWMV), is a state-of-the-art innovative center designed to allow learners to apply critical thinking, technical and interpersonal skills in a safe and supportive learning environment, with the ultimate goal of improving patient safety and promoting a culture of reflective multidisciplinary practice.
  • The main purpose of the Capacity Building Training Center (AWMV-CBTC) is to provide simulation-based education and training for students and healthcare providers through evidence-based practices and cutting-edge technologies to address curricula, patient, and service needs. Our purpose is to enhance patient safety and promote inter-professional collaboration by preparing competent individuals and teams to enhance the quality of patient care capable of meeting the challenges of the real world.
  • Through collaboration with our academic and community partners, health professionals come together to exchange and learn through the integration of simulation technology which has become the international standard for professional development and medical and nursing education. CBTC also aims to serve the needs of the nearby medical and educational institutions within AWMV’s catchment area and acts as a resource for the larger health care community.
  • The new and innovative equipment was acquired through a global grant from The Rotary Club-Beirut Cadmos and The Rotary Club of Camberley-United Kingdom in collaboration with the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. This reflects the Center’s ability to provide simulation-based education activities and hands-on skills training that model a culture of reflective team practice and patient-centered innovation according to the highest administrative, educational, and ethical standards.
