Overview

The Geriatric Medical Center at Ain Wazein Medical Village is a leading national model for specialized elderly care, offering a comprehensive continuum of services that integrate medical, nursing, psychological, physical, and social support.

Since 2009, the Center has been providing both outpatient and inpatient care through specialized units, building on the long-standing role of the Elderly Care Center, established in 1989, to deliver long-term medical, social, and psychological care for older adults in need of residential support. In 2018, the Center further expanded its services with the launch of its pioneering Palliative Care Unit.

The Center is composed of four interconnected buildings. Phase I, currently operational, spans 10,000 m² and overlooks a landscaped natural park of more than 4,000 m². Upon completion of Phase II, the total area will reach 17,000 m², featuring four symmetrical blocks inspired by traditional Lebanese architecture with a modern, environmentally sustainable design.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the Center incorporates green building principles, including energy-efficient systems and solar power, and is surrounded by spacious gardens thoughtfully adapted to meet the needs and preferences of older adults.
